Serving in Missions
SIM's strategy for overseas missions is to connect the church here with needy communities around the world.  What are you doing to fulfill the Great Commission?

Connect!
Imagine your church being able to engage in its mission calling, becoming equipped by an experienced partner, and through that partner effectively connecting to dozens of locations around the world where the Gospel is going forth. Then imagine the positive impact such a connection could have on your congregation and on the people to whom you minister. Can you see the possibilities?

Invest!
Missions begins with someone like you!  Someone who wants to make a difference in this world.  Someone who pauses 10 minutes to pray.  Someone who writes a $25 check.  Someone who spends a week of vacation serving in a developing country.

No investment is too small.  Nor is it very hard.  Could your investment make a difference?  You bet!

Go!
God has made you unique and has something very important for you to do.  Missionaries are ordinary people called and equipped by an extraordinary God.  Can you imagine the lives that could change if you are willing to go?

Family News

George
George finally completed his long awaited trip to Senegal in April.  He conducted a field audit and encouraged SIM missionaries serving there.

Steering the mission financially through this economic storm is very challenging.  Please pray for daily wisdom!

Sara
Sara is preparing for her comprehensive exams later this summer for the Ed D program at UNCC.  She has begun exploring possible research topics for her dissertation in the area of online learning.  She continues to serve as Director of the Meck Institute at Mecklenburg Community Church.  www.mecklenburg.org

Alex
Alex is spending a rare summer at home before completing his senior year at Duke.  He had surgery in May for a torn ACL and is facing several months of rehab.  We are hopeful for a full recovery allowing him to graduate from Duke and attend Army ROTC Officer Training next summer.

Adam
Adam is still celebrating the NCAA basketball championship at UNC Chapel Hill!  As a sophomore, he led an InterVarsity Bible study group for freshmen guys at his old dorm.  He is currently serving as a staff member with WonbyOne to Jamaica for the summer.  You can follow his blog by clicking here.
