SIM Ministry News
SIM's strategy for overseas missions is to connect the church here with needy communities around the world.

SIM Candidate Orientation
Three times per year, new missionary candidates and their families come to the SIM USA campus for orientation. They receive training in cross-cultural missions, developed their ministry plans and learned practical skills... such as how to drive a stick shift!

These orientations are an important phase of mission preparation. Many candidates will go on to language school, and all will need to raise financial support before they can go overseas to serve.

THRIVE
SIM missionaries are ordinary people called to an extraordinary mission. To be effective, it is essential that they experience ongoing spiritual growth as well as continuous development of their vocational skills.

THRIVE is SIM's initiative to provide mentors and resources to our missionaries so they can thrive in ministry. Your prayer support is an essential element of support for them.

Global Teams
Unlike most mission agencies, SIM is truly an international mission. This is not just because we serve in various parts of the world, but because our mission teams are comprised of several nationalities. It is common to have missionaries from the US, Korea, Europe, New Zealand and other countries serving together in the same mission field. It is a wonderful model of many nations serving in the kingdom of God!
