Praise God for
Please Pray for
Missionary kids, MKs, are an extension of the ministry of their parents. The parents feel God's calling on their lives to go ... to live in another country, another culture, a new set of rules, a different language ... but they don't leave their children behind. Of course not. The children follow their parents and learn to adapt to a new ebb and flow.

A few years ago, we had the privilege of caring for some missionary kids while their parents participated in a much needed spiritual retreat in Ethiopia.  In many ways, they were like any other kids their age.  They face many of the same issues of growing up and going to school.  Often, they are separated from their families so they can attend school.

SIM has several schools around the world that provide more than an education for MKs.  They serve as 'extended families' as teachers, house parents and staff provide a nurturing community for them.  More teachers are needed every year.

We encourage you to pray for these missionary kids and their parents.  Or, if you are a teacher, consider spending a year at one of our MK schools.  You will fall in love with these kids!
